It’s not a secret that I’m a huge makeup junkie and I love playing with makeup on a daily basis. Hence, my decision to start sharing my beauty favorites on my website should not come as a surprise to you, my dear reader.

I’m starting this “top favorite” series (what an original name, I know, I know) with my top favorite foundations. Since I have oily skin, these foundations would specifically work for ladies, like myself, who are blessed with a natural “glow” aka oil.

Nars Natural Radiant longWeAr foundation

(shade: Punjab)

Let’s start with my current favorite foundation by Nars. I am obsessed with it, as it lasts the whole day. If that is not convincing enough for you, I can tell you that it did not let me down even on the hottest summer days of this hot girl summer.

It is a full-coverage foundation, and it might be too heavy if you prefer a more natural looking skin finish. But if you are like me, and you like your skin to look flawless, go and get yourself this precious 30 ml worth of perfection.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r soft matte longWeAr foundation

(shade: 230)

This foundation was definitely a game changer, and got everybody and their mother try it, love it and talk about it, mostly because of the wide range of shades for all of the skin tones there possibly are. Of course, I had to jump on the Fenty Beauty bandwagon myself and see what’s up.

I started using Fenty Beauty foundation last year and was mostly using it during winter. It’s an important side note, because as you know during winter even oily skin tends to get dry from dangerously freezing weather, especially when using mattifying foundations. However, Fenty Beauty not only was hydrating enough to protect my face from the dry patches, that can usually be caused by the cold winter air; but it also kept my skin as matte as possible even after long hours at work.

What I like the most about Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation is how natural my skin looked. It wasn’t heavy or cakey, it was that “your skin but better” kind of a look, which I absolutely adore!

Lastly, I want to mention how stylish this matte packaging of the foundation looks. So simple and minimalistic, yet that’s what makes you want to have it, isn’t it? It is 32 ml worth of product, which is 2 ml more than the usual amount of all of my other foundations.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15

(shade: Warm Sand 2.5)

Size: 30 ml

Bobbi Brown products are always ones of my favorite, as I know that the price is always worth the product, and this foundation is no exception. This oil-free, water-based foundation does wonders and leaves my skin hydrated and glowy for the whole day. It feels very light on the skin and makes it look as natural as possible. The most important part about any foundation for oily skin is how long you will be able to stay oil-free, and with this Bobbi Brown foundation you don’t get oily for hours.

Do I even need to mention how important SPF is for your skin? I think more foundations should include SPF in them, as it is always something you will want to invest in, and since you are spending so much on makeup anyways, why not be wiser with what you actually spend your money on.

Clinique Superbalanced makeup FOUNDATION

(shade: 06 linen)

SIZE: 30 ml

This oil-free and fragrance-free foundation by Clinique has been my go-to ever since I tried it. It is medium coverage and is perfect for oily skin, as it doesn’t leave your face looking cakey, but at the same time it makes skin look matte for hours. It is also perfect for a sensitive skin.

As I mentioned previously, I love matte glass packaging, so I absolutely love its design. However, a small disadvantage with the design is that the foundation doesn’t have a pump or a pipette to get the product, which would always leave me with too much product on my hands (literally). If that doesn’t stop you, go ahead, you will love it!

Fit Me! Maybelline matte poreless

(shade: 115)

And last but definitely not least, my favorite affordable foundation by Maybelline. I decided to try it without any enthusiasm or high expectations and maybe that’s why it amazed me so much. Let me explain first. I used to think that affordable drugstore foundations are not as efficient as more high-end ones. But I’ve read so many good reviews on Maybelline’s Fit Me! foundation, that I just had to give it a try and oh-my-god! It worked! So I take it back and proclaim that price tag doesn’t always determine how good a product is.

These were my favorite foundations…

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this review, and now you have enough reasons to head to the nearest makeup store and buy yourself one or two, or all five of these holy grail foundations to always rely on.
